Hammerwell Metal is rapidly growing, full service ornamental metal design and fabrication shop located in Chicago that serves general contractors and architects in the luxury residential market. Hammerwell is looking for 2 hires to build a dedicated installation team which will be work directly under a lead installer to deliver and install interior and exterior landscape and architectural metal ranging from Fencing and Driveway Gates to Glass/steel partitions and railings. Applicant must: -Have an aptitude for building/construction experience and be comfortable working with power tools -Be able to read a tape measure and blueprints -Have a valid drivers license -Be able to lift 100 lbs -Have some welding experience in MIG -Be self starter, and team player, with critical thinking skills Bonus: -Tig Welding experience -Be able to use a laser transit -Truck mounted knuckle boom experience -Forklift experience -Rigging experience -HVLP Painting experience -Personal Vehicle Compensation is commensurate with experience. This is an entry to mid-level position: -Pay ranges $17-22/hr with overtime at time and 1/2 -Paid time off 10 days per year after 90 day probationary period -5 paid company holidays: Christmas, New Years, 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial day -Health and Dental Insurance thru United Healthcare. Both PPO and HMO available. 50% employer contribution to employee after 90 day probationary period. -$400/Yr stipend for approved personal tools and equipment after 90 day probationary period. -Stipend for personal vehicle use if deemed appropriate.
