Description
Looking for other musicians to jam with. Preferably Drums/Keyboard and/or Bass. I am 48 and listen to mostly 70's-90's rock. Not keen on other guitarists unless you are a singer songwriter working with acoustic material. I wouldn't mind backing you up and I play a decent acoustic as well as a 12 string, but I do not sing.
Otherwise, I just want to jam covers on electric and if anyone wants to jam or if you're in a band and just want a workout 1/2 times a week to stay sharp....whatever works.
I have a soundproofed room we can get loud in and I can convert my garage in a heartbeat if we wind up with a full band.
I play mostly upbeat or high energy blues based rock and for the jams I think everyone interested should submit 5 songs they'd like to do and we all must pick 2 from everyone's list that we already know or are willing to learn. This way everyone gets to play some of what they want and once we see how things shape up we'll be able to add songs based on our strengths or what we'd like to work on. If you don't submit any songs and show up to play saying "I can't play that", "I don't like that" and/or "Let's play something else..." you'll be packing up immediately after setting up. Everyone's voice is equal but nobody can force you to contribute. So submit songs or play what we play and like it!
My skill level is a bit better than moderate and I don't cowboy chord my way through anything. My goal here is to play with others and improve. I try to play everything the way the original band does in terms of the overall feel, but I do not sweat the album version precision. Capturing the feel of the song without watering it down in a band that is "locked in" and having a blast is always my goal. Respond if you're likeminded.
