Small private island off of Woods Hole is seeking a year round general laborer which includes an apartment and great benefits. This position is physical and most work is outside. It includes trash pickup from houses into a trailer, equipment maintenance, lawn mowing, weed whacking, tractor mowing, working with chainsaw, fuel, propane and firewood deliveries and other outdoor projects. There is not a firm job description because it could change daily depending on circumstances, weather and emergencies. This position reports to the department manager. The candidate must be able to follow directions, work both independently and with others. Lifting over 50 pounds is required. Experience with driving a tractor and use of chainsaw preferred but will train. This is a live on island position and includes a one-bedroom apartment company paid heat, electricity, cable, telephone, laundry facilities and internet. 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday and requires residing on premises.
