Bass player/Guitar player

Bass player and/or guitar player. 34 years playing experience. I am looking for a band or a collaborator. I am interested in writing and recording our own music. 1 to 2 covers are OK but, I do not want to be in a cover band. I have NO interest in that. I would like to record our music and play out once or twice a month when we get a full band and are good enough. I have many originals in my head. I need to get them completely recorded and shared to others who will listen. I am 50 and have a full-time 9-5 job, married, 2 younger kids. I can not commit to multiple practices a week. This will not be how I make a living and if you're on Craigslist, believe me, you won't be making a living at it either. I figure 1 practice a week is good unless it is a week before our first gig, then I can accept getting in some extra practice. With that said, I am serious about music and expect you to be as well. I have mostly played bass in bands. I have played guitar and bass the same amount of time. I mostly write on guitar. I can play leads. I have been playing more guitar in the past few years but, I am just as happy playing bass. I have no ego about having to be up front in the spotlight. I am just as happy laying down the low-end. Besides, I can be a busy bassist if need be. I know music theory and would prefer you did as well. I don't you to have a degree in music but, at least know enough to be dangerous. BASS PLAYING -------------------------- Fingers player. I am not a slapper or picker (I can pick if need be for recording). Influenced by John Paul Jones, Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney, Mowtown. I have an Ibanez semi-hollow, Fender P/J hybrid. GUITAR PLAYING ----------------------------- Rock and Roll, hard rock, funk, I can do punk, flirt with progressive rock. I am not a METAL guy. I used to love it, not my thing anymore. Influenced by Jimmy Page, Alex Leifson, David Gilmour, etc.. I have 2 Strats, a couple of acoustics. I don't really care what music you're into just a s long as you understand I don't want to play: metal, country or covers of any kind.
