Nature-oriented childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in East Multnomah County. I am a Certified Family Childcare provider and I have been running a successful program in North Portland for many years. I am closing that location and opening one on the other side of town to serve families in the Corbett, Troutdale, Fairview, Wood Village, Boring, Orient, and Gresham areas. I am certified with the state so that means I have all of the required certificates for health, safety, and classroom management (CPR certified, food handler’s permit, background check, ongoing training etc). Wild Life Preschool is dedicated to helping children follow their own interests, build social and emotional skills, and find a connection to the natural world. We play outside in all weather (except for thunderstorms!), we craft, dig in the mud, walk through the woods, identify different plants and animals, and so much more. Playing is learning and these kids play all day. I can’t tell you how many kids come to me with a disinterest in playing outside, they constantly tell me “they’re bored” or ask when we can go back in -only to change their attitude completely in a few weeks. Kids in my program LOVE being outside. They groan when I tell them it’s time to go in for lunch!
