Description

Participants will learn how to use etching cream and graphic pencils to create basic personalized enameled pieces using copper blanks This is a step up from the basic enameling class . Participants in this class will use etching cream and graphite pencils to create one-of-kind, personalized designs on an enameled copper background. Enamels and equipment will be provided as part of the $15 materials fee, however, participants will need to either bring small copper blanks suitable for pendants or purchase these from the instructor for a small fee. We will be working with a hot kiln as such, it is essential that participants take the necessary precautions, including wearing close-fitting natural fiber clothing (cotton recommended) and closed toed shoes. Unvaccinated participants are expected to wear appropriate face masks and maintain social distancing protocols for the class.
