Support the Eric & Jami (Wilken) McElroy family as Eric battles Leukemia and prepares for a bone marrow transplant Eric has been fighting CML (leukemia) since 2016. His family recently received a call from Northwestern regarding the results from a bone marrow biopsy. Unfortunately, it was not good news. The cancer has gone from chronic phase to an acute phase, which is worse case scenario. He is currently admitted for intense chemo as well as a pill form of chemo. They have to try and knock the stage back down to chronic, and then next step will be the bone marrow transplant. His stay during the transplant will be a minimum of 4-6 weeks.
