Get the basics on how to use the tools in our Wood Shop and make a cheeseboard in this introductory class! Get the basics on how to use the tools in our Wood Shop in this introductory class! Work on a simple project and pick up the necessary skills to work with our equipment safely. Attendees will build a cheeseboard that they will go home with! Tools covered in this class: Table SawMiter SawPlanerBelt and Disc SanderFinish NailersDrill PressRequired gear: All clothing should be non-synthetic (cotton or canvas is recommended), Long pants, long or short sleeve shirt, boots or other closed toe shoes, hair-tie for long hair, safety glasses and hearing protection. We recommend you bring your own safety gear, but we have equipment on hand if you don’t have any. Instructor: Jeff Halldorson Attendees who are not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 are required to wear a mask and social distance. If you are sick or think you may have been exposed recently, please don't come!
