Enjoy an Afternoon of Smooth Jazz! Studio Imani THANKS YOU for your continued support and invites you to a relaxing afternoon of Smooth Jazz with the Sounds of Phil Seed. Phil Seed is from the South Side of Chicago and has had the honor of playing on Jennifer Hudson's hit single "It's Your World" (from her "JHUD" CD) and Aretha Franklin's cover of "I Will Survive" (on the "Sings the Great Diva Classics" CD). He's played for the Shedd Aquarium's "Jazzin' at the Shedd" music series for over 10 years, and for the rapper Common's Common Ground Foundation Awards Gala,. He's has the pleasure of working with the TBS Just for Laughs special “Cedric’s Urban Circus” with Cedric the Entertainer, and Vibe/Miller Genuine Draft's The Craft Music Series. Playing for the DuSable Museum's Night of 100 Stars is also among the list of his memorable moments. His bands have played in many clubs, lounges and festivals in Chicago and across the country, and he has personally been honored to play for/with Erykah Badu, Common, Chaka Khan, George Duke, Rachelle Farrell, Michael Lington, Jonathon Butler and his friend and mentor the late Bernie Mac. Currently he's composing his solo CD project and always looking for a new opportunity to play! Phil is multi-talented and always exceeds musical expectations!
