Development of NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude to conduct NRA PPIH Classes NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Instructor Course $175, AVGC members use the gate code for a $25 discount Classroom instruction will be at High Desert Firearm Training located at 11120 Lancelet Ave, Apple Valley, CA starting at 8AM. We will be going to Apple Valley Gun Club for the Range portion of the class. Prerequisites : You will be required to present your certificates of completion Must already be an NRA Certified Pistol InstructorSuccessfully completed NRA Personal Protection Inside The Home Class as a student Successfully completed NRA BIT (NRA Basic Instructor Training) in the previous 2 yearsSuccessfully complete the pre-course qualification prior to the Instructor course which includes demonstration of safe gun handling, loading and unloading, clearing common pistol stoppages, and a shooting qualification at 7 yards. Course Includes: Classroom and Range time learning the knowledge and skills and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law abiding individual's right to self-defense. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Instructor Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students.
