Let's gather and have some sober fun! TINHIH Las Vegas has planned a Recovery Road Trip to Disneyland on Saturday, October 15th, 2021. Everything you need to know is below! - All attendees must be 18 years of age or older. - TINHIH will be providing the bus ride, breakfast, and t-shirt. Attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own Disneyland park ticket AND reservation for October 15th. It is encouraged you purchase your park ticket and make your reservation prior to purchasing your ticket from TINHIH. Refunds will NOT be offered if you purchase your TINHIH ticket but are unable to get the park ticket and/or reservation for day of the event. - Check in will begin at the Alternative Peer Group at 3:30am on October 15th. We will leave the APG parking lot at exactly 4:30am. If you are not present at 4:30am, you will be left behind. - We will arrive at Disneyland at approximately 9:30am. Attendees will be given a meeting spot to return to at 7:00pm. Between those times, you are on your own! - We will meet at 7:00pm to take attendance and head back to the bus. If you are not at the designated meeting spot at 7pm, you will be left behind. - We should arrive back in Las Vegas by midnight. - The bus is equipped with a bathroom so we will not be making any stops to or from Disneyland. Please pack accordingly for snacks/drinks. - Absolutely no drugs or alcohol will be permitted on the bus. If it is found that you have brought either, you will be removed from the bus without a refund. - TINHIH will follow all federal and state recommendations regarding COVID 19 protocols during the trip. Attendees will be notified of any recommendations that will need to be followed while on the trip. Tickets & Reservations can be purchased through the Disneyland Phone App or at https://disneyland.disney.go.com/admission/tickets/ ***REMINDER: You must purchase a ticket for October 15th AND make a reservation for October 15th. You cannot make the reservation until you have bought the ticket and you will not be let in without the reservation. Once this is done, you can then purchase the bus ride ticket with TINHIH. TINHIH’s Alternative Peer Group (APGLV) introduces alternative ideas about recovery that are driven by peer mentors who create a culture that is recovery friendly for young adults by promoting healthy activities in a nurturing safe environment. The APG’s positive peer support programs offer 12-step meetings, activities and other resources for students struggling with substance abuse. The focus of the APGis to help students form new peer groups that utilize positive peer pressure to stay sober. Activities that we offer vary because of the participation from community members and volunteers. In addition to helping Las Vegas' youth, day programs to help those in the recovery community are also available.
