A presentation of brand new piano-vocal transcriptions of works by Martinez and Pinottini. Join Soprano Andrea Leap, pianist Sue Ruby, and violinist David Leung for a presentation of new piano-vocal transcriptions Marianna Martinez and Maria Theresa Agnesi Pinottini. These rarely-heard composers, who were unpublished during their lifetimes, give us a wonderful example of mid-18th century vocal writing, with expressive melodies, energetic harmonic progressions, and unique structure and form. Soprano Andrea Leap has created new piano-vocal transcriptions using the original handwritten scores, reducing the orchestration so that it can be more easily performed. Seating is limited to 40 total, so while admission is free, we are requesting that you reserve a spot in advance. Masks will be required of attendees, social distancing will be in place.
