ACT UP Event with Arcane Swimwear: Embracing the Naked Truth of Body Image

ANACT presents ACT UP! A series to create discussion on important social topics and ignite change in our local communities and beyond. Anact and Arcane Swimwear are excited to invite you to an intimate night to Act Up! We'll be screening Embrace, a documentary that follows body image activist Taryn Brumfitt's crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies. Lulie Mayo, the founder of Arcane, will share her journey of building Arcane and will be dropping the latest collection of swimwear at this event. Lulie will also be sharing part of her heritage with us via homecooked Filipino food from her Dad's Chamorro Club and homemade Kava cocktails from Wildcrafters. At Anact, our focus is being an activist brand disrupting the textile space while connecting with other change makers on social and environmental issues under the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Tickets are $15 per person. The event opens at 6:30pm. Film starts at 7:00pm. Vaccinations are preferred and face masks are required. See you there!
