A public opportunity to work toward building capacity and community with farmers of color. This coordinated growing and seed saving project helps farmers to seed collaborative growing and knowledge exchange during the growing season. With financial and volunteer support, participating MFCC farms receive resources to support volunteer labor projects and have help connecting with community members who are interested in growing food and reconnecting with the land. The farm members who piloted this project started our seed saving library for use by MFCC members. Tickets will serve as opportunities to volunteer at the sites chosen for this growing season. There are 15 seminars that will take place at either R Roots Garden or Celestial Garden. While the seminars may be attended virtually, the focus of the season is to support the site gardens with volunteer efforts. If you "purchase" a ticket, we will plan for your attendance at the host garden for volunteer time and community building. THANK YOU!
