Mailbox 'THIEF' - 7/24 - PHOTOS - yeah we see you - PINE HILL

On 7/24/2021 this person followed two mail carriers down our block and took packages from multiple mailboxes. If you live on Lewis Ave/Sea Ave in Eureka and are missing mail from Saturday 7/24 you might also be a victim. The sheriff office searched but were unable to find the thief. The "thief" was wearing light colored red/orange sneakers, maroon sweats, has a tattoo on their right upper calf, black jacket, grey shirt. Has a white backpack like purse with dirt stains or light stripes on it. Seems like they might care about the environment because also has an additional bring your own cloth bag to carry off mail that would not fit into the purse. Normally I wouldn't just accuse someone of such things but there are witnesses and photos of this person messing with and taking from mailboxes, that aren't theirs, including mine. Was also seen a few days earlier in the week driving back and forth up and down our block, looked lost. The vehicle caught my eye especially since it parked down the street for a while. Was a Dark Green Chevy Tahoe, from about 2003. All the windows were down and that reddish/blonde messy hair and look on their face was very obvious. If you see a person like this in your neighborhood watch out they might be undoing mail delivery. Please call the sheriff's office if you think you are missing mail or if you see her/them. I give it up to our postal folks though they not only called it in immediately they knocked on my door and let me know. Thank you for going above and beyond.
