MILFORD, CT — On Saturday, the Milford Police Marine Unit assisted with the rescue of 6 individuals and a canine that were stranded on a sinking vessel near Charles Island. No injuries were reported. Police said it appears that the vessel suffered some sort of equipment malfunction that led to it sinking.
