Here are some of this week's good news headlines: Little League Tournament Starts With Parade, Ceremony In Vienna For the first time since 2004, Vienna is hosting the Virginia State Little League Majors Tournament. From July 23 to July 27, the championship teams from 16 districts will compete to earn the title of state champion in 2021. The winner will advance to the Southeast region tournament — and ultimately hope to make the Little League World Series. Restaurateur Fights Food Insecurity One Refrigerator At A Time Mark Bucher, co-owner of Medium Rare, is taking a new approach to tackling hunger. On March 6, 2020, Bucher started delivering free Medium Rare meals to older people who could not easily access food during the coronavirus quarantine. COVID-19 had not officially arrived in the DMV yet, but Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials said people with a compromised immune system, or those over 70, should stay inside. Asian Festival On Main Coming To Old Town Fairfax On Sunday When Wendy Wong first approached the Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA) about doing something to celebrate the city's Asian population, she was thinking it would be just a small affair in front of her business on Main Street. Olympic-Themed Restaurant, Bakery Specials Offered In Alexandria Restaurants and cafés in Alexandria are holding Olympic-themed specials starting Friday to celebrate the kickoff of the games in Tokyo.
