CHICAGO, IL — Six people were injured, and another six refused medical treatment, in a crash on the Bishop Ford Freeway early Sunday morning.
The crash unfolded around 5 a.m. near the 111th Street exit on Interstate 94, according to several media reports. At least six cars were involved in the Bishop Ford crash, and additional crashes may have occurred due to the initial crash, according to WGN.
Photos shared by ABC-7 reporter Jesse Kirsch show several cars scatted along the freeway, with at least two others in a ditch. Traffic was slow at the time, after an initial closure of the freeway.
Three adult men were in critical condition, Chicago fire officials confirmed: two taken to the University of Chicago and one to Advocate Christ Medical Center. Two people were taken to Trinity Hospital in stable condition, and one taken to Roseland Hospital in good condition.
