Employment for Caregiver

Events

41st St. near University Ave., San Diego CA

Description

Positions still available as of 7/25 We need new caregivers to join our team. Requires hard work and patience, but it's fun and rewarding to work one-on-one with someone rather than make corporations profit off of you. We will try to start you working lighter shifts or covering shifts for other caregivers. I'm looking for a strong caregiver who will be able to lift me in and out of bed and the restroom. You will be paid $14.50/hr through In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS). If you are not already registered as an IHSS care provider, we will help you with the enrollment process once a hiring decision has been made (they require you to present your social security card and a valid ID, no exceptions). I need assistance in most activities including cooking, cleaning, eating, readjusting, daily hygiene, toileting, etc. Experience not necessary, will provide free training to all candidates after preliminary interview and before a decision to hire is made. About me: I'm a 42-year-old guy and have Becker's Muscular Dystrophy. I use a power chair. I have severely weak muscles and I cannot stand or bear weight. I also have easy-to-use equipment to help me breathe easier. I get cold easy so I like it warm or in the sun. I enjoy gardening and growing some of my food from seed. I am also vegan so I don't eat any meat or animal products. Shifts available Sun 1230pm-7pm Mon 5pm-7pm Tues 2pm-6pm Wed 2pm-6pm Thu 5pm-7pm Fri 1230pm-5pm, 530pm-1130pm Sat 5pm-7pm More hours will be made available with experience. There will be also be additional opportunities to cover shifts for others.
