We are a group of guys 50 and older who get together for 4 hours every 2 weeks on Saturday or Sunday to jam on Classic Rock tunes. We don't aim for perfection, just play to have fun. Our set list includes 60s and 70s, Tears For Fears, Beatles, Stones, Hendrix, Cream, Fogerty, Santana, Tom Petty, Eagles, Killers, Clash, Cure, and many others. Usually we add 2-5 new songs each time. We also like Phil Spector and Carole King songs, but they are too high for us to sing! That's where you come in... We generally play about 12+ tunes in 4 hours, and play each one twice. The group includes 2-3 guitars, a bass, drums, and keys, with two so-so male lead singers. We are looking for a fun-loving female singer to sing lead on some of the female-oriented and higher-register songs, and to sing backup. All of the songs are covers of hits. Our level of playing is C++ up to B+. We are a very mellow group and try to avoid any drama! We mostly play at Pops rehearsal studio in Northridge, and each of us contributes $18-20 for the rehearsal space. Our next jam is Saturday August 7 from noon to 4. (We also meet for lunch at 11.)
