Considering Buying a Truck - Advise

I'm considering purchasing a new Ram 350-550 (flat, box, dump, roll-off) or maybe an Isuzu NPR/NRR and hauling merch. When considering it would be more economical if I was able to park the truck at my home instead of paying to lot it. A COUPLE QUESTIONS: What sector I should consider? Should I consider a service configuration (i.e., dumping, moving) or a hauling position? What does the contract availability look like now days? Can I haul without a CDL or is there a configuration where I would not need a CDL? Lastly is it viable? Any advise would be helpful. Thanks in advance
