I was a brainwashed Christian when I was young too

Then I grew up and matured and learned to think for myself. I read books of other religions and other philosophies and realized why the Christian church had to use threats and fear to keep people from reading these things. The other books made a lot more sense. A creator that made everything but was unable to stop bad things from happening and then blamed his creation when things went south claiming they had "free will". A creator who created a perfect world that also included the devil who started out as a perfect angel and even though he was perfect, he became evil. A good and kind creator who could easily dispose of things that don't perform to his specifications but prefers to send them to a place where they will suffer for all eternity. An all powerful creator that made all people but really only likes one nationality and told them to commit genocide on a bunch of others because he was unable to clear them out himself. And after they did so and he wasn't able to keep them under control, he sent in a bunch of other people he evidently could control to kill them, burn their cities, and disperse them to the winds for 2000 years. But they're still his favorites even though they're all going to hell for not accepting his son as their lord. A creator that wants us to pray to him and ask him for what we need but gives us what he thinks we need instead. Sort of like a Grandma who gives you socks for Christmas when you asked for a bike. A creator that is so insecure that he needs us to spend one day a week just worshiping him. A creator who rules the world but allows those terrible commies to take over parts of it and there's nothing he can do about it. A creator who created cancer. And drugs. And blames us. I'd read Manly P Hall - The Secret Teachings of All Ages before launching another of your uninformed lectures. Almost everyone my age grew up in the church. That church attendance has been plummeting for decades tells you that many have found a great lack of logic and truth in the Christian church. Not saying it's all entirely hogwash. If you read the history of the church and how the Bible was edited over time for political purposes, you'll understand why it is the way it is.
