I am currently looking for 1-2 1099 contractors to assist myself and my partner in covering calls for lite roadside assistance service, or more, in and around Fairfield County, primarily greater Stamford. Jobs may be app based or VoIP dispatched. Requirements: -Be 18 years of age or older. -Be legally capable of working in the US/CT -Be capable of passing a background check and oral interview. -Be in possession of, and maintain, a valid driver's license and be legal to drive in CT. -Possess and maintain a vehicle capable of reliably getting to and from service calls. Tow capable vehicles may prove useful. -Posses knowledge, skill, and proper tools to complete calls for service that may include but may not be limited to: jump-starts, vehicle lockouts, tire changes, tire inflation, and fuel deliveries. Other duties may include but may not be limited to battery install, very minor emergency repairs to get drivers moving, traffic control, collision and recovery support, hazard mitigation, traffic incident management, and public safety support. -All applicants must possess, or be willing to obtain, and maintain the following certifications: FEMA ICS 100 and 700, AHA BLS CPR AED, Bleeding Control Basic, US DOT Traffic Incident Management. Training and experience in towing, roadside, security and/or public safety preferred. May assist in finding training for the right applicant. May assist in obtaining equipment and certifications for right applicant. Roadside assistance entails the inherent dangers of potentially operating in inclement weather and in roadways, including active freeways. Understand the dangers and the risks. Protect yourself. It is recommended vehicles be outfitted with valid CT permitted, CT compliant amber flashing lights. Other safety equipment may be required. Hours are determined by you as the contractor, but most days and shifts are currently open. Hire may lead to later per diem or part-time positions. Part or full time positions may be available in the future for cross-trained, certified, card holding unarmed or armed security guards. PLEASE EMAIL US YOUR RESUME. Questions also accepted.
