This course will supply a comprehensive review of pelvic cavity anatomy and the physiology of micturition. This course will supply a comprehensive review of pelvic cavity anatomy and the physiology of micturition. It will offer an in depth look at supportive dysfunction of the pelvic floor muscles, with emphasis on urinary incontinence. It will provide a comprehensive evidence based approach to treatment of urinary incontinence using behavior management strategies, dietary modifications, pelvic floor muscles training and electrical stimulation. The use of objective outcome measures, functional goal writing and documentation will be presented.
