The Capitol Hill Counseling and Resource Center is proud to present the program “First Mondays,” health, nutrition, and wellness talks to improve your lifestyle and provide tools for longevity from a science-based perspective. NUTRITION: STOP THE BRAIN DRAIN, Monday, August 2 @ 6:30 pm Nutrition plays an important role in brain health and memory. Our brain responds to the food we eat and those nutrients can trigger neurotransmitters and hormones that impact our mood and improve our mental sharpness. Certain foods, minerals, and essential fatty acids feed the brain and prevent aging. It’s summer, we are about sun and fun, especially because we endure long hours and days in front of a computer screen, concentrating and zooming everywhere. Join Nutritionist, Wholistic Health and Fitness Coach Anelise for a time talking about how to reset and nourish your brain during the summer months, and learn about food that prevents brain disease such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia. What type of nutrients are needed for brain sharpness longevity? Come join us. The seminar is free open to the public, registration is required. COVID Safety protocols will be in place.
