Celebrate Diversity and Inclusion with Merriweather District's Good Kid-izen Series at Color Burst Park! Calling all Good Kid-izens! You're invited for a summer long series of fun and learning at Color Burst Park. Join us every other Saturday this summer as we celebrate inclusion, diversity and education. JUNE 26: Global Passport Travel the globe with reading, crafts, games and more! Good Kid-izens will go on a journey around the world to explore new and diverse cultures. JULY 10: Celebrate LGBTQIA+ Celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community with book readings accompanied by open discussion questions. Kids will walk away with a better understanding of inclusivity in friendship and family. JULY 24: Building A Wider Circle Inspired by “The Circles All Around Us” by Brad Montague, this event is all about widening your circle and building an inclusive community around you. Enjoy circle crafts, story time, and art as we embrace the beautiful diversity that makes up our circles! AUGUST 7: Pool Party Join us as we beat the heat and celebrate our Good Kid-izens with a summer pool party! Kids will be able to participate in poolside fun, water games, dance parties and crafts, making this the party of the summer.
