Our 10th Anniversary Celebration is an in-person meeting, BBQ at the Zoo! Celebrating survival, leadership, and sustainment.10yrsSTRONG!
We have survived a challenging year with the COVID-19 pandemic, widened health and economic disparities, climate change, and continued injustice and violence towards BIPOC communities. Despite the many challenges, we further witness our resilience, creativity, and power through connection with community. As we bring these lessons into the next season, and continue to adjust to many changes, please remember that we have each!
The Massachusetts Women of Color Network (MAWOCN) is celebrating 10 years of supporting one another in leadership and sustainment in the dv/sa movement in Ma. MAWOCN values and appreciates you. We invite you to a time of celebration, fun, connection and unity. We are hosting a BBQ event at Franklin Park Zoo. We look forward to great company, delicious food, and the experience of some of the most beautiful animals of this world!
*This event is intended only for female and femme self-identified, BIPOC advocates currently working in the DV/SA field in Massachusetts. With that said, please be sure to use your agency/work email to register.*
We will have vegetarian and gluten-free options available.
We encourage whatever feels safest for you, so wear a mask if you want to. 😊
