Every child will be back in school this school year, but some families are still feeling the financial impact of the pandemic. Staples & The Family Guide are working together to provide school supplies & hygiene products to the local school districts to benefit students in the Free & Reduced Meal Programs in Spokane & N. Idaho. You can help by: 1) Donate in-kind supplies. 2) Donate cash to buy supplies at a discounted price. 3) Purchase school supplies at a Staples near you. All supplies are distributed in the school districts from the community they are donated. The Family Guide is a 501-C3 Organization EIN# 26-0223132. We have been working with the school districts since 2005. We would like to take on the challenge of fundraising $10,000 to get school supplies & hygiene products donated to low-income students in need. Pre-K to 1st graders • Underwear & Unisex Sweatpants (some kids still have accidents) The items will be distributed to Elementary & Middle School Students. 10 – 14-year-old females who get their periods in school. • Sanitary Napkins / Tampons • Underwear & Sweatpants We are hosting our 5th Annual School Supply Drive. The Family Guide’s 5th Back2School Supply Drive is looking for donations of school supplies & hygiene products to the local school districts to benefit students in Spokane & N. Idaho. We deliver the supplies directly to the districts who distributes them to the schools with the highest numbers of students enrolled in the Free & Reduced Meal programs. Benefitting Students: · Central Valley · Coeur d' Alene · East Valley · Freeman · Lakeland Schools · Mead · Orchard Prairie · Spokane District 81 · West Valley In addition to school supplies, we are gathering hygiene products to be distributed to students who are homeless. which includes students in shelter, doubled-up, in hotel/motels, awaiting foster care, custody battle or other temporary arrangements from being in an unstable home environment.
