Description
Join us for an outdoor marketplace of artisans and artists. Over 20 local vendors offering quality handmade products. Sanchez Art Center will host Handmade Pacifica’s first community event on Sunday, August 1, from 1 to 5 pm. The event will be held outdoors and features works produced by local makers. Pre-registration is NOT required to attend, but helpful for the event's logistics! Handmade Pacifica’s first event is a showcase for local artists and artisans. This is the perfect place to find unique items for the special people in your life, and to find something special for yourself. The participating artists have been carefully selected to bring joy to buyers, to provide quality and professional work, to share a variety of unique goods, and to give visitors the special satisfaction of supporting local makers. Handmade Pacifica was established in 2020. The group’s mission is to organize events, highlight local artisan makers, promote local art and craft–related events, and provide opportunities for networking, collaboration, and education. We value businesses that are small, local, and offer handmade products. Handmade means just that—something of quality that is not machine made. In other words, we care to know the hands that make the goods we purchase and enjoy. Browse the creations of local artists inside and outside the Art Center. All three galleries will be filled with artwork. (See SanchezArtCenter.org for exhibition details.) In addition to the fine art inside the center, Handmade Pacifica’s outside event will feature local artisan vendors selling jewelry, woven towels, plants, skincare products, jam, ceramics, and more. The Moonraker restaurant food truck will be here too! Tasty delights will be available for purchase by both Handmade Pacifica attendees and those passing by. Come look at art and talk with artists, including those Sanchez studio artists who open their studios during this time. You will find some real treasures here, so make Handmade Pacifica’s first event a summer Sunday stop on your drive along Highway 1! Sanchez Art Center is located at 1220 Linda Mar Blvd in Pacifica, about a mile east of Highway 1.
