Development of NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills and attitude to conduct NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Classes NRA Rifle Instructor Course $175, AVGC members use the gate code for a $25 discount Classroom instruction will be at High Desert Firearm Training located at 11120 Lancelet Ave, Apple Valley, CA starting at 8AM. We will be going to Apple Valley Gun Club for the Range portion of the class. Prerequisites : You will be required to present your certificates of completion Successfully completed NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Class as a student Successfully completed NRA BIT (NRA Basic Instructor Training) in the previous 2 yearsSuccessfully complete the pre-course qualification prior to the Instructor course which includes demonstration of safe gun handling, loading and unloading, clearing common rifle stoppages, and a rifle qualification at 25 yards. The Prerequisite classes are available : NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Class 9/12/2021 8AM-6PM $50 at Apple Valley Gun Club This is the last class at the discounted price of $50. Prices will be returning to the normal fees. Course Includes: Classroom and Range time learning the knowledge and skills needed to teach the sport of shooting rifles. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Instructor Candidates take turns working in teams conducting portions of the course to other candidates who portray basic students. Instructor candidates will learn how to teach the NRA rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, range rules, cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. You are given the opportunity to pass and become an NRA Certified Instructor.
