Description

This event brings the community together to educate, inspire and create closer connections all while enjoying a healthy meal. Growhouse Urban Agriculture Center (GUAC) is proud to present the 7th Annual CultivEAT dinner! This downtown Phoenix favorite event is a multi-course long table dinner placed in the heart of the city to celebrate all things food. This event brings the community together to educate, inspire and create closer connections all while enjoying a healthy meal. It is our hope that this event can serve as a catalyst to many conversations about personal health in addition to the health of an entire food ecosystem. The dinner will be held Friday October 15, 2021 on the Phoenix Biomedical Campus in downtown Phoenix. 2021 marks a new initiative as we are thrilled to welcome Dr. Shad, Director of Public Health, Prevention, and Population Health at the University of Arizona College of Medicine to the chef lineup. Dr. Shad begins his first year integrating a Culinary Medicine program into the curriculum of the medical school. The partnership sets the stage to pair science with culinary arts in the most delicious way! **We Moved!  809 N 6th St., Phoenix, AZ 85004**  Growhouse is where urban farming meets cooperative retail in the heart of the Roosevelt Row Arts District in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. We are one part community garden and one part clothing boutique (Boutique closed in October due to development of our location. We hope to open the Boutique again soon at a new location). The Garden features community plots for local gardeners, a chicken coop, compost area, an aquaponics system and a bee hive. Garden with us and learn about growing veggies in the Desert on Saturdays, 9-11am. At GROWop, you could find on-trend vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, and locally made or made in the USA home goods in the store. Like "@GROWopboutique" to follow or learn more about the store at Growhouse and where/when it might open up again! **Join us every Saturday morning to learn about growing in the low-desert and beautifying our downtown arts district!
