Info session on ApprentiPGH a new apprenticeship program in Pittsburgh that reduces barriers for tech careers - earn while you learn! Join the Hill CDC's Hill Tech Society Initiative, the Pittsburgh Technology Council, ApprentiPGH, and Fortyx80 for this special edition Workforce Wednesdays Info Session on Wednesday, August 11th from 12:00 - 2:00 PM right here in the Hill District at the Hill CDC for the inaugural cohort of this initiative in Pittsburgh with software analyst apprenticeships. Apprenti is a national organization with a proven record of breaking down barriers to tech careers to create pipelines to talent specifically targeting minority and underrepresented communities. They are entering the Pittsburgh market in partnership with the Pittsburgh Technology Council. As Pittsburgh has gained tech momentum it has seen a rise in high-tech business services becoming a vibrant hub for artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and biomedical companies-eager to attract talent. Apprenti PGH will enable members of underrepresented groups to have a chance to take part in and benefit from the high-paying wages of our region’s growth in the tech industry. The Hill CDC, with our focus on creating a vibrant technological, innovation, and business community in the Hill District through Hill District through our Hill Tech Society Initiative (https://www.hilldistrict.org/hilltechsociety) is happy to be a community partner. WHAT IS AN APPRENTICESHIP? Over 2,000 hours on the job training + classroom time where you learn while you earn a percentage of your full salary. Software Analyst estimated salaries during the apprenticeship are from $40,000 + benefits to $70,000 depending on placement. APPRENTIPGH APPRENTICESHIP REQUIREMENTS: You must be 18 years of ageNo education or experience requirements Score at least an 80% on the assessment focusing on math and logic skills (You can take this assessment up to 3 times and there are resources to help you prepare and improve)Come learn more and how you can apply!
