Actually, you have been selected to not recieve the vaccine. As an experimental subject, who hopefully makes it through the Delta variant, you will be expected to take on, along with other survivors, the new and improved Delta variant, which is just around that old DNA mutation corner. As this new variant will have learned so much from so many, you will become invaluable as a host to a vampire whose soul purpose is to suck the life right out of you and any other unvaccinated animal out there. There is still so much to learn, so we muchly appreciate your possible sacrifice. A simple bat bite can cause sickness, but a bite from the rabid bat causes death....a very unpleasant one at that. Thank goodness there's a vaccine for that that works after succumbing to the dreadful rabies!!!
