FALMOUTH, MA — An acrobat injured during a show at the Barnstable County Fair was released from the hospital Saturday. Cyrus Nock, a performer with The Nerveless Nocks, fell from atop the "Wheel of Death," a large rotating structure with wide hoops on both ends, hitting another hoop before falling 20 feet to the ground. Nock was taken to Falmouth Hospital with serious injuries following the accident Wednesday evening. He is expected to make a "full recovery," according to a statement the Barnstable County Fair's Facebook page. "Cyrus will be heading back home to Sarasota, Florida to complete his recovery," the statement continued. "He has been performing as part of the Nerveless Nocks for 13 years, and we hope to see him again soon." The fair thanked first responders and hospital staff, as well as an anonymous doctor who "leapt out of the stands to help."
