Annual event to include food, activities, entertainment and more! The Downtown Mechanicsburg Partnership has announced that this year’s Community Day will take place on Saturday, August 7th from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM in Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Park. This year’s 100th anniversary event will feature live music, local crafters, old fashioned baseball exhibition, inflatables and games, food trucks, chicken BBQ and much more. It is also the culmination of the Wrench Hunt, which was born last year out of the cancellation of Community Day due to COVID-19. Back by popular demand, the event is a week-long scavenger hunt for wrenches around downtown Mechanicsburg. “With no Community Day in the Park last year and now with the pandemic in retreat, we are expecting an excellent turnout in August,” said Jayne Drake, President of The Partnership. “More and more folks are looking for things to do, and Community Day is the perfect way to get out, see friends, and have a great fun-filled day.” More information is available at https://downtownmechanicsburg.com/events/.
