CHICAGO RIDGE, IL — Yes, RidgeFest is back in 2021. Although a shortened version of the event voted Southtown's "Best Neighborhood Festival" in 2016 and 2019, the Village of Chicago Ridge has quickly organized its famous festival after much contemplation, which falls on July 24 and July 25. RidgeFest 2021 will be held on the grounds of Freedom Park at Birmingham and Oak. Featuring bands, food, beer, rides, family entertainment, musical fireworks and a merchant lane carrying everything from handcrafted items to light-up toys, it's easy to see why Southsiders flock to RidgeFest year after year. We missed it last year. Pick up a few baubles or a handcrafted item at Merchant Lane or head over to Restaurant Row, featuring Durbins of Burbank and Palos, La Playita and other carnival fare. Admission on Saturday is $10. Admission on to Super Family Fun Day on is free to Chicago Ridge residents (with proof) and $5 for non-residents. Thrill seekers can pick up a mega pass to the carnival midway for $40.
