Description
YARDLEY, PA — When police on patrol Sunday received a wanted person alert on a passing license plate, attempting to stop the car led to a multi-hour chase.
The woman, wanted on a felony warrant, fled and nearly struck an officer after being pulled over. She was pursued by Lower Makefield Township Police until she reached a residential area and police called off the chase.
When the suspect was sighted again in a cul-de-sac, officers attempted to stop her. To evade police, she drove onto a front lawn, through a backyard, and onto another street. She nearly struck three more officers in the process, and they again ceased pursuit.
When officers found her car parked on Penn Valley Road, they used K9 dogs to track her to her home on W. College Avenue. Although her home was searched, she was not present.
Police issued a felony warrant for her arrest on new charges.
At 1:40 a.m. on Monday, police responded to a report of someone overdosing at her home. She was found in the basement and transported to the hospital.
On Wednesday, the suspect was taken into police custody on the warrant and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility. She is charged with fleeing and eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, and reckless driving.
