LA GRANGE, IL — A man from downstate Illinois caused a commotion this week at a La Grange convenience store and was arrested as a result, police said.
Eric Herbolsheimer, 52, was charged with assault, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property under $300.
About 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Herbolsheimer got into an argument with a clerk at 7-Eleven, 9600 Ogden Ave. He approached the clerk aggressively and knocked over several store items, police said.
Herbolsheimer is listed as living in Bureau County's Malden, which is a rural town with a population of less than 400 people.
