Press release from the City of Hillsboro: July 22, 2021 Hillsboro City Council Meetings Are Now in Person & Virtual Starting in August, community members can watch and participate in City Council meetings online or on site inside the Hillsboro Civic Center's Shirley Huffman Auditorium. The City of Hillsboro is committed to transparency and engagement with community members in decision-making, and it's easier than ever to watch and participate in Hillsboro City Council meetings – a standard the City seeks to maintain as council meetings move into a hybrid model starting in August. City Council meetings, held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, will begin at 6 pm in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium of the Hillsboro Civic Center with any scheduled work sessions. Regular sessions will follow at 7 pm. If additional work sessions are scheduled, they would take place following the regular sessions. You can continue to join Council meetings using the Zoom app or website on your phone or computer, and closed captioning is available. With each City Council meeting, community members have up to three minutes to participate in public comment time – and you can sign up to speak ahead of each meeting or during the meeting. Here are more options for you to actively follow and engage with the City Council: You can watch City Council meetings and work sessions live through TVCTV, Tualatin Valley Community Television Cable, Access Channel 30. A livestream of the broadcast is available on the TVCTV webpage. You can also watch the last six months of City Council meeting videos on the TVCTV webpage, or request videos older than six months by contacting the City Recorders Office. You can read City Council meeting agendas and supporting documents in a new, more user-friendly format on the City's public meetings web portal. You can search the Hillsboro City Charter and Municipal Code with recently expanded search capabilities and a new, more mobile-friendly look that helps you email and link to specific sections of the Code.
