The event features an Amazing Race Relay that includes various challenges including terrain challenges, an agility course, balance tasks, brain exercises, and archery/target practice.
"How amazing to get together with people from other communities that we don't know and have this much fun," Sunnyvale Belmont Village Senior Living resident Tamara Baca said.
Said Sunnyvale Belmont Village Senior Living resident David Morrison: "Wow! What an experience but I am exhausted now."
The event emphasized comradery, and keeping physically and mentally active, organizers said.
"It was an honor to host the first inaugural Belmont Village Senior Living Olympics today at Albany," said Michelle Moros, Executive Director of Belmont Village Senior Living Albany.
"The games embody the spirit of life long engagement, fun, creating new friendships and seeing a tremendous sense of community among our residents and Belmont Village Associates.
