Job Description: Epic Life Family Care Homes (ELFCH) supports young adults with or special needs and IDD diagnosis. ELFCH is seeking Full Time Residential care technicians (RCT) to provide community and residential based services for people with special needs in at our Greensboro Group home. RCTs live in group home 4;3 biweekly schedule. Your duties will include traveling within the community for social events, shopping, or other community activities. RCTs can also help mentor and coach consumers with special needs. We provide one-on-one community services for high and low functioning individuals with special needs. Job Responsibilities: This position is a Live-in position. Schedule: Week one: Mon- Wed-fri Sat Week Two: Sun-Tues-Thurs Spend time with the consumer as he engages in activities, such as meal prep and cleaning house. Help the consumer to develop his/her goals and objectives, including an interest in video games and board games. Plan shopping trips, educational classes and recreational activities that are in line with the consumer’s interests Help individuals to be as independent as possible with activities of daily living and assist them as necessary. RCTs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities. Help individual to determine the career direction through analyzing interest, situational assessments, etc. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Must be minimum 18 years of age Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance Need to be willing to provide transportation to individuals with disabilities in your own personal vehicle Must be willing work for at least 3 months (to qualify for benefits) Six months of experience in human services preferred Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks and a drug screen Hiring Immediately for our "all male" residential group home Job Type: Full-time Salary: $105.00 to $110.00 /day Email you resume to link above!
