Hey all, we are a female fronted 5 piece COVERS band who plays a WIDE variety of songs. And we don’t mean “wide variety” like most of the bands here do. We mean like ACDC, Sugarland, Rolling stones, lady gaga, Adele, Pat Benatar, Steely Dan. We are a fun coverband that plays songs ya wiggle your butt to, but aren’t the traditional Sweet Caroline and wagonwheel type. We took a break during COVID, and now are getting back going again. Unfortunately, our previous amazing bass player is involved in other projects now and does not have the time to jam with us. But seriously, Brien if youre reading this and if you want to come back,..just …please, yeah, we miss you. [He's going to be so embarrassed I'm guilt tripping him openly, sorry not sorry bud. He's involved in some cool projects so we dont blame him. But we will guilt him anyway]. We would like to consider ourselves pro level players, we rehearse once a week ish (currently Friday nights, but up for negotiation if we found the right person). We were playing mostly private parties/weddings, and enjoy doing that a bit more than the bars, but aren’t known for turning down work, and we don’t mind doing bar or community gigs. We all have professional day jobs, so we are NOT looking to make the band our full time gig, we are happy playing out 1-2x a month or so. If life returns to normal ever, we would be up for talking about playing more in the future. We range in ages mid 30’s- 60s, and consider ourselves pro level musicians. Most of us have played in bigger leagues, but enjoy keeping music part of our lives now jamming in Wilmington. We are searching for a PRO level player, which to us means - Own gear for playing out - Comfortable playing out in any setting - Comfortable with a variety of styled tunes, including but not limited to light rock, old school rock, jazz, country, pop. - Able to pick up music quickly. If it takes you 2 hours to learn one song, we likely may not be the band for you. We frequently add new songs for special events, and just because we don’t like being bored. If you can’t learn 5 songs in a week, we are not the right pace for you. - Would be able to learn play pretty much any Top 40’s song since the 1960s with better than 80 percent accuracy. Totally putting your own spin on things is great, and even encouraged. Bonuses of being in our band - We have cold beer, or liquor of your choice at the rehearsal spot in monkey junction. - We are probably the easiest people to get along with. We don’t do drama. Only rule of the band is “don’t be an asshole” - You know that song that you’ve ALWAYS wanted to play with a band? Cool, lets add it. We’ll try adding any song anyone in the band wants to. If you want to sing it, cool. If not, that’s cool too. *Edit. Singer would like to note, all songs are accepted EXCEPT “Hit me with your best shot.” She will punch you. And we..we will not stop her.
