We are looking for motivated individuals to start in an entry-level position responsible for manufacturing drip irrigation tape or hose on custom assembly machines. Start, stops, feeds and attends to a high volume repetitive cycle, assembly production machine, manufacturing drip irrigation products while also monitoring quality of product manufactured. This position works 12 hours shifts with daily overtime. You work only 16 days a month! We train employees. We provide on the job training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Responsible for the production of one type of drip tape/hose product in line with production standards. · Responsible for following all written and verbal safety instructions. · Reports machine and material problems to Supervision in a timely manner · Inspects film to ensure compliance to all applicable product specifications. QUALIFICATIONS The following listed requirements are representative of the experience, knowledge, skills and abilities required to be successful in this position. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred. Entry level position with 0 - 3 months experience in a manufacturing / production environment as a Machine Operator or other related field preferred. Required Skills: Basic computer literacy. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to determine measurements at a glance. Ability to comprehend and apply basic mathematical skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of the shift, walk; use hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus, corrected vision.
