Small HORSE BREEDING FARM, in Buckeye. Pleasant work environment with kind and affectionate animals. Looking for someone to work weekend mornings who is: - Trustworthy - Meticulous - Dependable - A hard worker - Has good common sense - Horse experience is preferred but not required if you are observant and willing to learn about horse behavior. Flexible, part-time, morning schedule: - Flexible arrival times. - Due to outside temperatures, it is best to arrive anytime between 4:30 am - 7 am in the summer and by 8:30 am during winter months. - Stay until the work is completed for the day. - Approximately 2 - 4 hours of work each day. Saturday & Sunday. Job duties: - Feed hay to 14 horses - Dump, scrub and refill 10 water tubs - Clean out daily manure from 12 paddocks - Sweep and straighten stall mats - Put fly masks on horses (seasonal) - Operate small tractor (easy to learn) - Hay bales are 90 lbs each. Lift approximately 6 bales per day. Stack 20 bales on hay delivery day, every 3 wks. - Occasional weed trimming - Other tasks related to the care of the horses and upkeep of the farm and home. - Such as running errands, washing horse trailers, washing truck, washing windows, giving the dogs a bath, etc. - Possibly stay at the house to care for the animals while we are out of town (on occasion). Additional information: - Paid by check bi-monthly or monthly (your choice). - We live on the property and are here to help as needed but you will be primarily working alone, after training. - This is a popular position for those who enjoy working on their own, outdoors, around animals.
