Description
He's a really great dog. Has all shots. 4 years old. Very affectionate, intelligent and has lots of personality. He gets along great and has been a big brother to my 5 month old lab puppy and is best buds with my husky. However he can be aggressive towards other dominant dogs as well as some male humans. He has had a physical altercation with another dog and has behaved aggressively towards a few men who have come onto my property (gardener). I have had him about 4 months and he has been great with me and my boyfriend and my dogs. He also has great house and yard manners. He doesn't dig, doesn't chew on things, doesn't destroy things and his house trained. However, I got him as a protection dog and I travel a lot of in my RV and this is not the best environment for him. Because of his unpredictability with other dogs and strangers, having him travel on the road in varied situations is not ideal and not fair to him. He needs a stable environment. He deserves a good home with a fence and room to roam (or daily walks, but I would suggest a muzzle...I have 3...and he does pretty well on them and once you get used to it, it's really not too big of an issue). He's not super high energy, so if you have a smaller back yard but walk him daily he will be great. He loves being outside. I usually have him the in the back yard most of the day and just bring him in in the evening and he just chills wherever. He is on the smaller side at 70 lbs and a very handsome guy. He loves human companionship. I think he would do best with a female (a male would be ok, but he'd have like you...he instantly liked my boyfriend, but you just never know) and a stable environment. Since I've had him he is doing better with walks. He is less reactive to people, but still very aware of any dog we pass. He has never shown any signs of aggression to me at all. He is actually very submissive (rolls on his back, thumps tail, lowers head) when he gets any kind of scolding. Anyhow, asking small rehoming fee. I want to ensure he goes to a good home. For the right person, he will be a great fit. I have never bonded so quickly with a dog before. He is so in tune with your emotions and thoughts and he really loves to love. But this breed has protective/dominant traits and it would be ideal if you have experience with this breed or similar breeds. I could also see him possibly being a protection dog for a business? He loves to guard.
