Siteserver, Inc., a growing Wireless Internet Services Provider, is looking for one or more local Field Technicians that are motivated and energetic to join our team. This individual will help expand our growing network and provide customer support for existing broadband users in Simi Valley, San Fernando Valley, and surrounding areas. This position requires a person with the ability to provide reliable, high quality work with minimal supervision. If you have experience as a cable technician, satellite installer, alarm installer, or network technician your skills will apply directly to this job. Skills from similar trades like construction, electrical, HVAC, camera and security alarm installation will help you in this position. We are willing to train you on the job! Pay will be dependent on experience. We have immediate openings! Responsibilities Include: • Maintaining tools and supply stock levels in vehicle • Mounting and alignment of outdoor wireless equipment (similar to satellite dish) at customer business locations. • Cabling (Ethernet) from mounting location to customer designated interior location. • Terminating / testing CAT5/CAT6 cable. • Pulling/fishing cabling through walls, basements, attics, and crawl spaces as required • Assisting customer in configuring router/computer for internet access • Testing operation, demonstrating/explaining service to customer. • Troubleshooting existing customers, performing repairs, replacing equipment as needed. • Maintaining/submitting accurate, legible, and timely paperwork. • Providing courteous customer service Qualified Applicants Must: • Be able to lift at least 80 lbs • Be able to lift, carry, and climb a 28’ foot extension ladder or tower • Be comfortable with heights and able to climb safely on roofs and in attics • Be able to work outdoors in all seasons • Be open to overtime and on-call shifts • Have a minimum of 1+ years driving experience with no citations in the last 12 months. • Clean driving record and be able to pass a background and DMV record check. Preferred Skills: • Configuration / installation / testing of point-to-point microwave radio equipment. • Experience diagnosing and resolving basic networking issues. • Pulling / terminating / testing fiber optic cable. • Tower climbing / control descending (safety belt, strap, climbers)
