Required 2 year experience lawn maintenance landscaper.** Valid Driver's License - Clean Driving History REQUIRED.* If no experience please do not apply. Duties & Responsibilities: Prep soil properly for flower or ground cover installation Plant material properly with consideration for depth, size, placement, and spacing Apply pine straw/mulch for appropriate ground cover Edge beds or establish new bed edges as directed Other various landscaping activities Perform maintenance on equipment: Unload/reload equipment from trucks Wash equipment and truck as needed Grease machine fittings on a regular basis and as needed Physical Demands: Safely perform heavy lifting/pushing/pulling of various landscaping equipment and materials, including, but not limited to backpack blowers, trimmers for edging/weeding, large/bulk materials to include mulch/plant material/rock, various sizes of lawnmowers, etc. Safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered sawing and cutting equipment Lift and carry up to 50 Lift branches and limbs Push, pull, grip and squeeze various tools, products and/or items (e.g., pruning) Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris. Bend and kneel up to 9 hours or more a day Spray various pesticides/herbicides as deemed necessary and in accordance to laws Work Environment: Work hours vary and may exceed 12 hours per day Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation) Noise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required (e.g., outdoor conditions, backpack blowers, running mowers, trimmers) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to operate various lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, backpack blowers Required - Valid/active driver’s license, clean driving history and reliable transportation to and from work/work sites. Grooming/Hygiene requirements due to the client interaction at various properties. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $15 /hour to start. With good work performance, punctuality ability to work alone, a $1.00 raise is given every year.
