Summary: This position involves building and repairing field equipment, loading trucks and maintaining a well-stocked warehouse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Show up to work on time as scheduled, or personally phone supervisor prior to start of shift. Responsible to build, service and wire meters, distribution panels, tac-ons, and distribution cages. Responsible for service and repair on transformers. Responsible to build and wire all flexes and flex risers. Ensure all equipment meets city and county codes. Able to use all power and hand tools safely. Ensure that all equipment is set in accordance with spotted location to avoid repeat trips Report all work injuries and vehicular accidents to supervisor immediately (Injuries and accidents you are involved in will be evaluated to determine if it was preventable) Drive vehicles in accordance with laws and Power Plus! driving standards Wear OSHA compliant safety equipment – hard hats, etc. Adhere to Power Plus! safety and quality standards when setting and/or picking up equipment Essential Skills and Experience: Planning: an ability to think ahead and to prepare action plans to achieve results. Ability to understand measurement of performance to goals and standards set by supervisor. Ability to balance, improve working conditions, and achieves positive results in the areas of safety, quality, and productivity. Continuous improvement orientation. Quality service and attention to detail. Good interpersonal and communication skills. An ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong team player. Ability to see tasks through to completion. Good communication skills required. Attention to detail. Experience, Competencies and Education: As unique situations present themselves, the employee must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the public image. GED or equivalent experience. Paint & cut poles, and stack poles with forklift. Pay Rate: $14.00 - $15.00 Benefits include: Partially paid medical, dental, and vision available for employee starting 60 days from the first of the month following date of hire.
