CORONA, CA ***FABRICATION SHIFT LEAD*** POWER SYSTEMS COMPANY *Manufacturing of Safety-interlock Cord-connected Electrical Equipment* (This company offers safe and reliable power solutions to a wide variety of industries) ____________________________________________________________________________ -SCHEDULE: 1PM-9:30PM -PAYRATE: $22-27/ HOUR ____________________________________________________________________________ Job Title: Fabrication Shift Lead Department: Operations SUMMARY Responsible for leading the fabrication department, work from multiple projects and assist in directing work flow under the direction of the department supervisor. Ensure conformity to the Company’s quality standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead and maintain shop production schedule and employees. • Ensure all company and quality standards are maintained on completed products. • Read blueprints and engineering fabrication drawings. • Use small hand tools, measuring tools, and miscellaneous machines in shop. • Oversee the building and assembly of enclosures and sub-assemblies. • Review work tickets, drawings and BOM's to ensure accuracy. • Identify problems and evaluate solutions, seek input from appropriate management; co-workers if necessary and make sound decisions to correctly solve situations • Ensure product is fabricated to print and procedures are properly in place prior to turning product to Quality Control and/or stock. • Instruct and train personnel, ensure proper procedures are explained and manage multiple jobs until finished. • Drive compliance to Company requirements, including all safety, quality and operational documentation and practices. • Proactively resolve conflicts between project teams within the department and conflicts between departments. • Analyze and solve problems, with a high focus on process improvement. • Sustains 5S in workstations. • Practices ESL’s core values on a daily basis. • Abide by all rules and regulations as set forth in employee handbook • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Computer literate; MS Outlook, Word, Excel • Detail-oriented • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Excellent math skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent preferred 3 years of sheet metal shop experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will: • Stand/walk, lift/pull/push as part of the scheduled shift. • Hear well enough to communicate with coworkers. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to normal operation working conditions.
