Woozy original alt-country, slinging big themes like they're everyday things
Raised in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, now located in NYC, country singer Olivia Ellen Lloyd never strays far from her Appalachian roots when mining her craft.
With a slew of local shows planned in the New York City area for May-July, She is currently booking gigs as she heads out of town to share her music in her hometown and beyond.
Described as a “woozy tribute to coming-of-age” (Nashville Lifestyles), Olivia Ellen Lloyd’s debut album Loose Cannon (released February 2021) drew comparisons to John Prine (Rolling Stone Country) , and praise for its “personal and heartfelt” (Highway Queens) themes. Since releasing her first single in August 2020, Olivia and her music have been featured on The Bluegrass Situation, DittyTV, and Holler Country. She made Gimme Country’s Top Five chart for three weeks following her release and she cracked the top 50 on the Alt Country specialty chart.
Please give her a warm welcome on a Monday. Oh, cool thing: she was friends with Michelle (Cauldron Vintage) in middle school.
